Search Engine Optimisation

The AA components website has been fully optimised for search engine results by FireflySEO, part of the Firefly I.T. group of companies.

Search Engine Optimisation or SEO is a technique of manipulating the code that a website is written and altering server setup for a website, optimising for required keywords which are used by web users to search through an online search engine. Keywords need to be consistent for each page throught the optimised website so that the code that search engines can read (plain text) is not outweighed by the HTML, javascript, CSS and other code that search engines cannot read.

Following on from this, keywords must be placed in certain areas throughout the pages, and with a certain 'keyword density' throughout the plain text to be effective.

Internal structure of the website pages is important, and plain text links into the website must be made from high trust ranked external websites, and 'link funnelling' from internal pages must be done to push up the prominence of well optimised pages so that they appear high up in search results in the major search engines.

As mentioned, server setup is critical in getting good results in search engines, with the best results being gained from a well established URL (the web address) that is at least 3 years old, a unique IP address that relates to the numeric address of the website on a server connected to the Internet and a unique nameserver IP address. This combined with unique and fresh content is what is required for great search engine results

As with most things, it pays to get a professional to do this work for you, because all of this work takes time and experience to get right. Because the search engine algorithms change on a monthly basis, the optimisation that was done a couple of years ago might not be relevant (or indeed may be doing your website some harm) today. For this reason, it is very important to stay up-to-date with the search engine trends and alter your search engine optimisation accordingly
